An outstanding coffee of the variety Geisha from producer Marly Palomino, who in 2024 won an international competition with this coffee. Flavors of butterscotch, black tea, lavender, tropical fruits, sweet chocolate, citrus, peach, blackberry and a well-balanced body characterize this exceptional coffee.

The coffee underwent anaerobic fermentation in its pulp in plastic bags for 48 hours, before the cherries were peeled and the coffee was fermented for a further two days. The coffee was then dried on raised drying beds for about two weeks.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER MARLY PARLOMINO

Marly Palomino is a dedicated coffee producer from Inkawasi, whose farm reflects both the natural richness of the region and her commitment to sustainable agriculture. Her chacra, farm, is uniquely characterized by patches of volcanic and rocky soils, lending a distinctive quality to the land. Amid this rugged terrain, groves of guava, citrus, and eritrina thrive, creating a diverse and vibrant botanical landscape that is both productive and ecologically balanced. The natural environment on Marly’s

The natural environment on Marly’s farm is alive with the presence of wild birds, including colorful parrots and the local “tuya,” which further attest to the area's thriving biodiversity. To maintain the fertility of her soil, Marly relies on organic compost provided by the cooperative, ensuring that her land is nourished in a way that honors the ecosystem.

Every day, Marly works in accordance with the ancient Incan principle of ayni, engaging in reciprocal labor that not only sustains her farm but also strengthens community bonds. For her, the joy of agriculture lies in the deep connection with nature—nurturing a regenerated, living farm is paramount, as she believes that nature itself is life.

In recent years, the prohibition of harmful inputs like glyphosate in the valley has reinforced her commitment to preserving the environment. This careful stewardship is also evident during harvest time, when the tradition of ayni brings together local villagers in a shared, reciprocal effort to gather the coffee.

Marly strives to participate in the Coffee Excellence competition, a goal that underscores her drive for quality and her enduring passion for sustainable agriculture. In addition, her exceptional skills and dedication were recently recognized when she was named the winner of this year's Chicha Challenge competition organized by Cultivar, featuring this very Geisha.
