This wet processed Single Producer lot comes from Bekele Gemeda in the village of Worka in Yirgacheffe. Bekele, who is the father of 11 children, owns a 6.5 hectare coffee plantation which he runs with the help of several of his children. Bekele – who has previously enjoyed success in the Cup Of Excellence – is incredibly grateful that the care he puts into his coffee is of such high quality that it can be sold as a separate microlot, something extremely rare in Ethiopia.
Here, Bekele has produced an elegant washed coffee with a light body, tea-like structure, floral tones and with a delicate sweetness as from peach and raspberry in the character.
