Getting an even distribution of the coffee in the portafilter means you get a more even extraction and a tastier coffee. If the coffee is not evenly packed, the water flows unevenly in the brew, which can cause large differences in taste from brew to brew. A distributor, which is used before tamping the coffee, means that you get a consistent espresso brew.
Our Coffee Distributor is easy to use, adjust it by screwing the base up or down to fit the height and place on the freshly ground coffee and spin the tamper!
