The Croce family are old friends of ours and Johan has visited their farm many times. Fazenda Ambiental Fortaleza has been in the family for generations and in recent years, through Silvia and Marco Croce, it has been transformed into an organic model farm. The farm and family business is now run by Felipe Croce, who has in many ways developed his parents' ideas and, with the help of modern technology and regenerative farming methods, ensures that the farm continues strong into the future.

Bob-o-Link is a transcontinental migratory bird. Marcos & Silvia chose this bird as a symbol to bring everyone in the supply chain closer together - without borders. Bobolink coffee comes from neighborhoods of family farms that work together and share the same values of quality at every stage. Together with the cooperating coffee producers, they have created green corridors for wildlife and preserved natural water sources. The Bobolink project has created a natural cycle and a richer fauna. In addition to the sustainability aspect, farmers receive better payment for their coffee.

This particular coffee comes from some of the smaller coffee farmers who grow coffee - according to organic principles - around the “Serra do Caracol” - a mountain range formed by a volcanic crater near the tourist town of Poços de Caldas. The topography of this region is similar to the south of France, and the mountain range is highly appreciated by paragliders. The coffee from the community in the Serra do Caracol valley has the main characteristics of the region's terroir - creamy body, fine chocolate tones, high sweetness and a smooth fruit flavor. Sul de Minas is one of Brazil's major regions for the production of Arabica coffee, reaching altitudes from 850 meters to 1250 meters above sea level. The average temperature ranges between 17°C and 24°C. The region's microclimate contributes to an excellent terroir for coffee cultivation.

In the character, Fortaleza Bobolin has a classic Brazilian tone, lots of nuts, dried fruit, chocolate and roasted hazelnuts.
